By day, I'm an uptight and proper academic - you know, a publish or perish type who resides in tall towers with the likes of Rapunzul. In the evening, I morph into a lovable mom and wife, play with my children, hang with the hubby.
But when darkness falls and the house stills, I write.
I just heard about this. I read Catcher in the Rye in High School. Maybe I'll dust it off and give it a tribute read.

ReplyDeleteI like Laurita's idea of a tribute read, though I've heard enough of the book quoted on NPR to feel like I've listened to it like a book on tape.

You know, I'm sitting here watching it snow and all of a sudden I wondered what would Salinger say about it? He's gone but his influence isn't.
