ReplyDeleteI love the colors as they appear on my work screen.
No suggestions for how to "perk" up your post. like 'em fine as is.
I have come back for a second look and I must say that I do like. The other theme was good, but this refreshing, lighter, the other was more dark, pensive, but I do like this and find it more readable.
ReplyDeleteNo matter, I will come back and read, simply because I like what you write. Take care, Gillian
Hi Linda - I'm a newbie at blogging and at posting comments. It is like a whole different world out there (in here, the blogging world). Kinda nice and comfortable. Miss ya!

Interesting piece from The New Yorker, Linda. I like the idea of opening the field up, but what will it do to the industry? Time will tell...
ReplyDeleteGreta
Thanks Paige. I've gotten used to the 'lightness' of the new format and am liking it as well. I'll def be posting more often. Love your new photo blog... but where's the poems? I miss em...
ReplyDeleteGreta, I think as writers we're going to have to think outside the box - the B&N and Borders and hold-a-book-in-your-hands box - if we want to get 'published'. Especially if we're trying to hook a whole new generation of younger readers who manipulate the world with their opposable thumbs.
I was going to purchase a kindle, but with apple coming up woith a dig book app for the iphone... well, I'm there.
Peace, Linda
Ilene, blogging is the cyber equivalent of the salon. Happy to see you here. BTW, I'm working with Gail and APHA to get a public health blog going. Could be apps for our school, too. Think about it while on your Fulbright. Peace, linda
ReplyDeleteso. what say you on the Magic Island? interesting...hmmm...
ReplyDeleteI think cell and digital tech is the way a lot of fiction will go... is it the best? No? But I can see how it may be used to compliment other media (ie, the good old book), as well as publicize a more traditional writer's work (ie, give-aways on iphone and itouch).
ReplyDeleteWhat's sad is that Kiki doesn't even read... sigh... peace, Linda
