That's what I'll miss most when I retire (in the not to distant future). Fortunately, I won't lose contact completely since we've formed two once-a-month lunch groups, one a book club, and one a boys-day-out group.

I am really grateful I'll be able to maintain those connections.
~jonJ. It means I get to spend time with my kids. I guess they are my work colleagues in a way, or my staff. The work we do is almost secondary to the relationships we have woven and most mornings I can hardly wait to get to work and tuck into our "morning yap."
Also, I've been trying to lose a couple of pounds (knocking myself silly for not starting sooner but I hate dieting, hate, hate, hate it). I've been very good the last couple of days, getting lots of exercise and eating healthy things. Last night I laid in bed with an empty, growling stomach and it was everything I could do not to get up and go stuff it.
I am grateful I didn't.
(This is so cool, Linda. I'm enjoying your 30 Days very much!)Cathy Olliffe-Websterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12729578896443750402noreply@blogger.com
